I don't know what to post about. My initial concept, as I stated in my first entry, was how this blog was to be about things that inspire me ( design/art/food...), with the possibility of change. I may need that change now. I mean I like posting about pretty things but maybe it needs a twist. hmmmmm.
Maybe this will inspire me to create these postable things myself? Maybe this calls for some studio time, recipe discovery time, journal writing time. I have a few ideas stirring in my head, and I have to make the part of myself that says "all i really want to do is go to bed early" go away.
With that in mind, my horoscope today reads: Pick up your feet and get moving toward what you want right now. Just get up and go!
I'll leave you with this. Peppers.

I'm trying not to become an infrequent blogger. But I really have been busy. I just finished helping Dennis Crommett design his new CD, the evening sorrow, to be released December 5th. Lauren Piotrowski did the beautiful artwork throughout the whole package. I did all those other things that involve making it pretty and printable. Here's the cover:

You'll have to wait for Dennis' CD release show at the Iron Horse on December 2nd to see the whole package, and listen to the fabulous tunes.
Next on the agenda, is the new Sitting Next To Brian CD. Still in the recording stage, but I am very excited to have been asked to design the whole package. And as Brian stated "you have complete creative freedom." According to my rules, he can't take those words back. ha.
So I went on a bit of an online shopping spree this past week. I love etsy.com, it's full of a bunch of crafty people selling their goods. It's all kinds of stuff, pretty much anything you can think of. I've been slightly obsessed with accessories lately, so I just received my new necklace and earrings from contrary.etsy.com.
They're great, and i love them.

I have to say my shopping experience with etsy was superb. From all of (well the 2) people I've bought from so far, they always include these cute little hand-written notes and cute packaging, and are really thankful. It's nice to know there's a real person on the other end. I highly recommend it.
I have to say, I think these are pretty darn cool. Not martha listed a blog about MiYo flooring. Not only is it affordable but pretty retro and fun. You can choose whatever color/pattern combinations you want it seems, room dimensions, and then go ahead and order em. I mean it's no wood floors and all, but come on it would be great in a kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, etc. And it seems fairly easy to install for non-handy people, like myself.
But sad me doesn't have a use for them now. Hopefully they'll still be around when the house buying days are around. If those days ever are that is.
You can be totally fun and retro like this:

Or just plain sunny:

Go ahead and create your own, it's fun.
Was born to a long line of Parisian cats, inhabiting the back rooms of cafés. One day found herself on the wrong end of a cheese wheel on its way to the United States. next thing she knows, she's in Massachusetts, in a 1' x 1' cage. One day, she looked up from a nap and saw the nicest looking couple she'd seen since arriving in the States. "I must have these people", thought she and flashed them her brightest, greenest eyes. It worked.
We unraveled her past last night.
I was looking at the decor8 blog and found another artist, Amy Ruppel, who makes the cutest paintings. Well apparently she had an online art sale yesterday, and everything is already sold. Her paintings are just so cute, hopefully they'll be more available soon. Most of them are around $95, so definitely a splurge for me, but I'll be supporting a fine artist. So I want one, and and will be keeping my fingers crossed. I love these three the best, but I can't wait to see some new ones too. Okay, i know what you're thinking, i'm obsessed with birds....atleast i admit it, right?

I am now 26 years old. How do i feel, well the same. Alot of life changes in the past year though.
I had a wonderful evening last night with the company of friends, beer, and fries. Then a dance party with some champagne and a late night cupcake treat. It was a blast, so much fun, and the perfect gifts. I couldn't have been happier.
I have a slight obsession with lip gloss. I think it's the perfect form of makeup. You can add a slight tint and shine to your face with so little effort....it's perfect. So since I'm so into lipgloss I obviously have tried quite a few. I started just buying the cheap ones from CVS because I went through a phase where I would always lose them. But I've been feeling slightly more responsible and in control of my belongings lately, so i want to splurge on something alittle higher end.
I saw this kind today at anthropologie, and it may have to be mine.

They do fit in the category of me being upset if i lose them though. But so many different shades, for every mood. hehe. The good news is i may be able to get them for slightly, only slightly less on ebay.....sorry anthropologie.
Another plus that I have to mention, is pretty nice packaging. Fall motif to represent the warm shades, and it's my favorite season too.
UPDATE: Mabel is now BIJOU. We realized Bijou fits her personality better. So hopefully this will be her name for good now.

She's an obsessive cleaner, and i caught her in the moment.
